Pet Sitting Invoice Template — Free PDF & Editable Download
Software companies give away invoices as subscription bait; this one is just the document — but built the pet-sitting way. Instead of one vague line for 'pet sitting services', it bills visit by visit: date, visit reference, sitter, rate, line total — the same references the client saw on the schedule and on each report card. In the worked example, seven visits at $32.00 reconcile to $224.00 three different ways, which is exactly why clients pay this kind of invoice without a follow-up conversation.

How to use it
- Build the invoice from the completed booking schedule — never from memory, and never bill a visit that was not completed.
- Use one line per visit, with the visit reference, so the client can match every charge to a report card.
- Confirm the agreed rate and calculate the totals before sending; the worked example shows the reconciliation to check against.
- Record the payment date and reference on your copy when the client pays.

Frequently asked questions
Should I charge for a cancelled visit?
Only where a separately agreed cancellation arrangement permits it. This invoice bills completed visits; anything else belongs in your agreed terms, not improvised onto a bill.
Why list every visit separately instead of one total?
Because it makes the invoice reconcilable: the client matches each line to the schedule and the report card for that day. Vague totals generate questions; itemised visits generate payments.
Should tax always be zero?
No — the worked example uses zero tax because it is illustrative. Whether you charge tax, and at what rate, depends on your local requirements; the fields are here so the invoice works either way.
